  • MedStudy is seeking a highly-motivated team member for a full-time position. The IT Support Engineer position is primarily focused on supporting internal customers’ IT infrastructure including servers, storage, firewalls, routers & desktops/laptops and supporting IT needs at courses for course attendees and video production department. The IT Support Engineer will also be called upon for customer technical support needs when needed. This position is a front-line, customer-facing role, so solid communication skills are required. The IT Support Engineer works with the Dev/Ops Engineer to provide technical support and monitoring of systems and reports directly to the Software Engineering Director.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and other office equipment and systems.
    • Identify employees’ computer hardware and software problems and implement the solution determined to be the best course of action.
    • Complete IT onboarding needs including hardware and software set-up.
    • Monitor software-related applications and security patches necessary to maintain a secure IT infrastructure and assure minimal risk of data loss.
    • Conduct user training and security training as necessary for IT related equipment and software.

     

    Maintain IT policies and procedures in Confluence and make them accessible as a guide to internal users.

    • Maintain compliance with all PCI regulations.
    • Manage support tickets using our JIRA based support ticket management system.
    • Provide IT support for conferences, including setup and breakdown of all related equipment, planning for and ensuring safe transportation of all MedStudy IT equipment to and from conferences and ensuring safe storage of same between conferences.
    • Provide IT support for customers on technical needs to access their MedStudy digital products.

     

    Technical Skills/Experience are highly desirable, but we are willing to train motivated and eager to learn candidate:

    • AWS (cloud-based) servers
    • Internal Windows servers
    • Active Directory
    • Adobe, Office 365 and other software system administration
    • Remote Monitoring Management
    • PC and Mac-based hardware, software, and peripherals including configuration and troubleshooting
    • VoIP based PBX

     

    Qualifications:

    • Associates Degree in IT or at least two years of experience in an IT department.
    • IT Certifications are a plus
    • Up-to-date technical knowledge
    • Passion for learning is critical
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills and documentation skills
    • Self-Managed
    • Occasional travel may be required to support courses

You will be responsible for providing informative support to our customers by responding to requests and inquiries, advising and providing direction, and helping troubleshoot issues with any MedStudy products, print and digital, so they can be best utilized by each customer.

       

      Responsibilities:

      • Supports MedStudy customers through a ticketing system, by phone, and by chat
      • Responds to customer inquiries and fulfills order requests ensuring accurate and complete information is provided/obtained to complete transactions
      • Provides clear and concise explanations when assisting customers to resolve issues whether it is related to service or technical support
      • Educates and assists our customers in learning what products may work best for them
      • Maintains the most up to date knowledge about available products and services, prices, shipping, and discounts
      • Answers any additional questions, informs customers of features, options, product content, pricing breaks, etc. based on in-depth knowledge of MedStudy products and services
      • Works closely with Sales to hand off warm leads that need to follow up
      • Researches and resolves routing inquiries, resolves shipping issues, responds to service problems and seeks assistance on more detailed or complex customer support contracts
      • Serves as a brand ambassador for MedStudy.
      • Participates in scheduled in-service trainings, information sessions, and other related functions to maintain current knowledge of MedStudy products and services and to maintain proficiency in customer support procedures.
      • Responsible for accurately maintaining and responding to assigned customers lists
      • Assist with special projects

       

      Education/Experience:

      • One year of experience in a Customer Support or Call Center Environment is required
      • High School/GED required
      • Must be able to work in multiple computer software systems at one time
      • Strong knowledge of technology to help troubleshoot issues
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office
      • HubSpot and Zendesk experience a plus

        • Responsible for eCommerce site management and optimizing the Shopify platform to deliver higher volume and sales.

        • Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.

        Requirements

        • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

        • Must have AdWords certification and 2-3 years of experience managing PPC campaigns.

        • 5+ years experience in a digital marketing environment

        • Must be comfortable with marketing automation platforms (i.e. Hubspot)

        • Should possess web development and digital design skills

        • Must have experience with Google Analytics. Certifications a plus.

        • Must have experience with eCommerce web platforms. Shopify experience a plus.

        • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar technologies

        • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS. JavaScript and Liquid a plus.
