Content Marketing Manager

Currently seeking a Content Marketing Manager to join our team. This position is new to our organization. We are looking for an idea-driven, creative word-smith to help our organization move our content to the next level, and ultimately increase our organic and referral traffic.

Responsibilities

  • Optimizes content for search engines and lead generation.

  • Builds and manages the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and expansion into new social platforms.

  • Creates free resources that can drive leads, subscribers, awareness and/or other important metrics.

  • Plans, creates and manages web content that is easy to read and find, actionable, and shareable across digital platforms.

  • Optimizes the content we have, with an eye to repurposing, and refreshing it to maintain relevancy.

  • Blogs on an ongoing basis in support of projects and to attract site visitors through search, social and email.

  • Grows our customer base by providing them with regular, helpful content that’s in tune with their needs.

  • Collaborates with designers, the video team, marketing managers, sales, external influencers and MedStudy physicians to produce relevant content that meets the needs of our audiences.

  • Grows blog subscribers and expand the blog's reach.

  • Serves as an exemplary writer, consistent with our company’s tone and mission. You write clean, concise, well-polished copy and are a savvy word-smith (creative & technical).

  • Edits content produced by your teammates, including conceptualizing the projects upfront and copy-editing prior to publishing.

  • Stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges in order to build a more effective editorial calendar.

 
Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.

  • Must have a knack and love for writing.

  • Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

  • Past experience building audiences either online or offline.

  • In-depth understanding of SEO best practices and working experience writing content that increases qualified organic traffic and ranking.

  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions.
